MONROE, La. – Officials say the Fourth Judicial District Court was the target of a malicious cyber incident. The announcement was made on Monday.
The Fourth Judicial District Court encompasses Ouachita and Morehouse Parishes.
Officials say the incident was limited to the Court only and did not impact either parish’s Clerk of Court office, where all case records and documents are maintained.
No significant disruption in proceedings and services is expected.
Anyone who has received a subpoena, notice to appear, or who has a conference, hearing or trial scheduled in Court is expected to appear at the date and time as directed previously.
The Court is working closely with IT experts, as well as various governmental agencies and law enforcement.
