Monroe, LA – Officers from the Monroe Police Department responded to a gunshot in the 2000 block of Peach Street in Monroe just after 1:00 a.m. on July 30,2022.
According to the preliminary investigation, more than one suspect approached a group of people standing outside of an apartment. The suspects then opened fire, hitting four persons.
Officers discovered two victims at the spot and two more at a nearby hospital. Jesstavioun Moore, 18, was one of the victims who died as a result of his injuries. The wounds of the other victims were treated.
Detectives were sent to the area and are now investigating the incident.
