MONROE, La. – Authorities have arrested a man accused of sex crimes against a 15-year-old in West Monroe.
According to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, on Dec. 28, 2020, they were called to OPSO annex in regards to an investigation.
They say a woman told them that the father of her child tried to get a 15-year-old juvenile to have sex with him. They say the woman took pictures from the suspect’s phone and used them as evidence.
The sheriff’s office says upon looking at the photos, they observed 28-year-old Brandon Cody Roark asking for sex from the 15-year-old victim. They say the teenager told Roark she was not going to have sex with him.
According to arrest records, the teenager told officers that Roark also offered her ecstasy.
Records state that Roark knew the victim was 15. admitted to sending the messages, and that he was trying to make his girlfriend mad.
Roark was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center.
