MONROE, La. – In Louisiana, 106,736 more doses of COVID vaccines have been administered this week, according to a noon update from the Louisiana Department of Health.

There are 898,262 people who are fully vaccinated and 1,327,159 people who have received at least one dose of a vaccine. State officials opened vaccine eligibility last week to all adults 16 and older.

The total number of administered doses is now 2,152,002. Most of those shots are part of the two-dose regimen recommended for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, which is why the total number of people who have received at least one dose is lower than the total number of doses.

Out of Louisiana’s entire estimated population, 28.55% of people have received at least one dose and 19.32% of people are fully vaccinated.

These are another few key statewide statistics as of Thursday:

  • Total confirmed cases: 382,031
  • Total “probable” cases: 66,073
  • Total confirmed deaths: 9.343
  • Hospitalized: 301
  • On ventilators: 44
  • Vaccine series initiated: 1,327,159 (updated twice weekly)
  • Vaccine series completed: 898,262
