MONROE, La. – Both teams were strong on the pitcher’s mound on Tuesday, but Ouachita was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over the Union Parish Farmers.
Caleb Oliver started the game for Union and recorded 21 outs. The lefty went seven innings, allowing three runs on 11 hits, striking out five and walking one.
Robinson was on the hill for Ouachita. The hurler lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and one run while striking out seven.
Trey Holly led Union Parish with two hits in four at bats. The Farmers Varsi ty was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Trent Bennett made the most plays with six.
Ouachita tallied 11 hits in the game. Miller, Wooley and Blackwell all managed multiple hits for Ouachita. Miller went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Ouachita in hits.
