MONROE, LA- Last week, the authorities received a complaint when a homeless man was found wandering around an unoccupied building on North 3rd Street.

Reportedly, his head was covered with a bandana and he was carrying a green backpack.

The thief was identified as 35-year-old Gregory Barth, who admitted he was storing alcoholic drinks inside the building.

“Barth did have a bottle of Gin inside his right front pants pocket,” stated the Jan. 9 arrest report. “Barth said that he did not have permission from the owner to be inside the building, but stated that a relative used to live there, but could not say who the relative was.”

He was booked at Ouachita Correctional Center.
