According to the police officials, the 28-year-old mom faces a second-degree murder charge for the death of her baby, which happened June 10.
The mother called 911 to report her baby was not breathing.
Unfortunately, the 4-day-old baby died the same day.
Authorities say the infant died from acute fentanyl toxicity.
Her name is Lana Cristina and she was arrested Wednesday.
The 28-year-old woman was booked into jail.
She admitted to using narcotics before breastfeeding the child.
