MONROE, La. – It’s been a year since the COVID-19 pandemic first started taking lives in Louisiana. Louisiana confirmed its first case of COVID-19 on March 9, 2020, and its first death on March 14, 2020. In the ArkLaMiss, over a thousand lives have been lost to the pandemic.
