MONROE, La. – The Civil Service Board hearings for two Monroe police officers that were terminated last year were rescheduled. The attorneys of former interim police chief Reggie Brown and former Sergeant Chuck Johnson filed appeals to push the dates back.
Tuesday, the civil service board approved the request. Brown’s appeal was originally set for March 2, and Johnson’s was set for March 9. Brown’s new hearing date is April 29, and Johnson’s is May 4.
