Monroe, LA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred on August 10, 2021.
It happened in the 2900 block of Barrington Drive in Monroe.
MPD officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found a 25-year-old victim.
Her name is Jamonese Hutson and she was found inside an apartment.
Police say the victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to her neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators discovered that a 26-year-old suspect was at the residence with the victim at the time of the incident.
Her name is Dashone Thomas and she was booked at the Ouachita Correctional Center and charged with negligent homicide.
