MONROE, La. – New Orleans beach volleyball (3-4) dominated the finale of the ULM Invitational in Monroe Saturday, upending Southeastern Louisiana (0-8) 4-0.
Alexa Spartz and Brianna Vega made it 1-0 UNO with a 21-15, 22-20 win at No. 3 and Ally Carr and Maxine Walsh regrouped with a 12,21, 21-16, 15-10 win at No. 2.
Madeline Drake and Liz Gialanella won No. 4 for the Privateers Saturday with a 21-14, 14-21, 15-6 to clinch the match for UNO.
For good measure, Veronica Corcoran and Victoria Corcoran rallied from a 21-16 loss in set No. 1 to take the set and sweep the Lady Lions 21-10, 15-8.
Against the Warhawks, Veronica and Victoria Corcoran forced a third set after taking the second 21-18 at No. 1 before Julia Blazek and Audrey Brooks escaped with a 15-9 win.
