MONROE, LA — On Monday, Feb.7, Ouachita Parish Metro Narcotic agents noticed a white Chevrolet Silverado was driving in the middle of the road on the 1600 block of South 4th Street. They noticed something was off and initiated a traffic stop.

Allegedly, when they made contact and advised the 53-year-old Andre Tippit of his violation, they noticed he was acting very nervous and didn’t make eye contact when answering their questions.

As the officers got a verbal approval to search his car, they located two bags with approximately 201 ecstasy pills and 6.4 grams of crack cocaine in the driver seat. He also had a large amount of cash on him, which indicated he was dealing the drugs.

Reportedly, the agents advised Tippit of his Miranda Rights, but he chose to say that the narcotics were his belonging and he intended to use them.

Tippit was placed under arrest and booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center. He was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.
