LOUISIANA – A Louisiana lawyer who billed the state highway safety commission more than $50,000 for work and travel she didn’t undertake was disbarred by the state high court.
“Essentially, respondent received approximately $53,000 in federal
grant funds through fraudulent means,” the Louisiana Supreme Court said Tuesday in a per curiam opinion.
Margot A. Tillman-Fleet and the state disciplinary counsel’s office stipulated to the facts, the court noted.
