LOUISIANA— The Louisiana State Health Officer is warning Louisiana residents to not be fooled by neighboring state’s choices to remove their mask mandates.
Dr. Joseph Kanter tweeted that Mississippi and Texas’ decision to remove their mask mandates was a “dangerous self-defeating move.”
Kanter warned Louisiana residents that if they are traveling to Texas or Mississippi to avoid indoor gatherings and maskless gatherings.
Gov. John Bel Edwards signed a new order Tuesday that moved that state into Phase 3 restrictions.
The mask mandate for Louisiana remains in place.
