Monroe, LA – On Saturday, the Monroe Police Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 2900 block of Elk Pointe Drive.
Reportedly, one of the victim’s parents told the officers that their child and four other children were assaulted by a 40-year-old man.
The suspect reached into his vehicle, pulled out a BB gun and pointed the weapon at the juveniles.
He was identified as a 40-year-old Andy Jones.
The Monroe officers found the suspect and noticed that he was under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance during questioning.
Allegedly, during the search of his vehicle, the officers found marijuana and methamphetamine.
Jones is now charged with: five counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, five counts of cruelty to juveniles, two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
