Local News Monroe police arrested a Monroe woman for trespassing and resisting officers last week Published 4 years ago on May 31, 2021 By Noreen Liu Writer Share Tweet MONROE, La. – According to the statement, Candace Diane Axtens was sitting outside the home and refused to leave, despite several requests to leave. The police officials have reported that the 29-year-old woman refused to identify herself. Police tried to place her in handcuffs but she resisted by pulling her hands and arms away from officers. She was then placed onto the ground at which time officers were able to apprehend her without incident. Axtens then made her body limp, causing officers to have to carry her to the patrol unit. She also took her hands out of the handcuff. She was booked at Ouachita Correctional Center. This story will be updated when new information is available.
