Monroe, LA – MPD officers responded to a report of burglary at the Segrest Mercy Street.
The victim said she was sleeping in the bed when she heard a loud bang at the back door of her home.
The suspect was identified as Donald George Rice III.
The 29-year-old suspect broke through the $100-door.
The victim said she armed herself with a vase and told Rice to leave.
Rice was booked at Ouachita Correctional Center.
