Neville cleared after being placed on lockdown

MONROE, La. – Authorities say Neville High School was placed on lockdown due to a possible threat.

The Monroe Police Department says Neville was placed on lockdown on April 23, 2021, shortly before 9:30 a.m. They say the school received a threat over the internet of a possible shooting.

MPD says they have cleared the school of any threat and that the campus is no longer on lockdown.

The investigation is ongoing. Out of caution, the Monroe Police will remain in the area.
