No one hurt after MPD crisis intervention in south Monroe neighborhood

MONROE, La. – The Monroe Police Department says they performed a crisis intervention at a home in Monroe on Tuesday, April 13.

Police say they were called to the 1900 block of South Grand Street around 11 a.m. Police say a person inside a home had a weapon.

A large police presence including a SWAT team was seen in the area during this time. A few hours later, the person came out of home without incident after speaking with a police negotiator.

Police say no one was hurt in the incident.
