1 person dead following Sunday night shooting, MPD investigating

MONROE, LA- According to the police, reportedly there is one victim from a gunshot inflicted wounds and they need help from the community to gather more information.

Officers responded to reports of shooting at the 1000 Block of South 6th Street on Sunday, around 11 p.m.

Minutes later, the responding officers reportedly found the 19-year-old victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and was identified as Roger Lynch.
