MONROE, La. – U.S. Rep.-elect Luke Letlow, who disclosed Friday that he had tested positive for Covid-19, has been moved to the intensive care unit of the hospital where he is being treated in Shreveport, Louisiana, in one of the most serious coronavirus cases yet involving any current or incoming U.S. lawmakers.

The 41-year-old is currently in stable condition at LSU Health Shreveport, according to a statement a spokesman released Wednesday afternoon.

Letlow was hospitalized in Monroe, Louisiana on Saturday after his symptoms worsened, before being transferred to the larger Shreveport hospital on Tuesday.

He is currently being treated with steroids and Remdesivir, according to Dr. G. E. Ghali, chancellor of LSU Health Shreveport.
