MONROE, La. – The last time a UTEP football team started a season 3-1 or better? 2010.

As if the 2020 season couldn’t get any weirder, Dana Dimel’s UTEP Miners are making the most of their opportunities early in the season. In a home bout against the ULM Warhawks on Saturday, the Miners ran away with a 31-6 victory.

UTEP’s offense racked up 512 total yards compared to just 193 by the Warhawks. Quarterback Gavin Hardison went 13 of 25 through the air for 302 yards. Running back Deion Hankins also continued his hot run of form with 22 carries for 118 yards and three touchdowns.
