MONROE, La. -Authorities say a fatal crash in Ouachita Parish has claimed the life of a West Monroe man. The incident happened on March 12, 2021, shortly before 10:00 p.m.
According to the Louisiana State Police, they got a call in regard to a fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 34 in Ouachita Parish. They say the crash claimed the life of 43-year-old Matthew Gosch of West Monroe.
Police say an initial investigation revealed that Gosch was going south on LA Hwy 34 on a motorcycle when he went off the right side of the roadway and overturned. They say Gosch was ejected from the motorcycle.
LSP says Gosch sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. A toxicology sample was obtained and submitted for analysis. The crash remains an ongoing investigation.
