City of Monroe hosts another mass vaccination event on March 31

MONROE, La. – The City of Monroe is hosting another mass vaccination event so that people can get protected against COVID-19.

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport-Monroe Medical Center and the Louisiana Department of Health Region 8 will conduct the event.

It is scheduled for March 31, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Monroe Civic Center. Appointments are required.

They are offering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine only. This vaccine only requires one dose, so there’s no need to come back and get another shot. The vaccine offered is based on availability.

Anyone who is eligible under state guidelines will be eligible for this event. However, appointments are required.
