LINCOLN PARISH, La. – Authorities say a crash in Lincoln Parish has claimed the life of a Choudrant man. The incident happened on April 24, 2021, at around 9:15 p.m.
According to the Louisiana State Police, they got a call in regard to a single-vehicle crash on Pleasant Grove Road. They say the crash claimed the life of Gregory Hinton, 49.
Investigators say a vehicle driven by Hinton was going southbound on Pleasant Grove Rd when it went off the right side of the road and then back across both lanes. They say after the vehicle went across the lanes, it traveled off the road and hit a tree.
LSP says Hinton, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Toxicology samples were obtained and submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
In 2021, Troop F has investigated 15 fatal crashes resulting in 18 deaths.
