OUACHITA PARISH, La. – Authorities have arrested a West Monroe man accused of molesting an 11-year-old. The incident was reported on March 27, 2021.

According to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, they got a call from the father of the juvenile. They say the victim told her father’s girlfriend that her stepfather had sexually abused her.

According to court records, the father of the victim told investigators that her mother was physically abusive towards her as well. Records say after the father found out about the abuse, he stopped the mother from seeing the victim and the other children they have together.

Records say the juvenile told investigators that her former stepfather, 36-year-old Anthony Paul Johnson of West Monroe, did some “bad things” to her. The affidavit says the sexual abuse occurred over a two-year period. After examining the victim, it was revealed that she had evidence of sexual abuse.

Johnson was booked into the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office on the charge of 1st-degree rape.
