Earthquake hits N.W. Louisiana

LOUISIANA – A magnitude 3.0 earthquake hits Blanchard Louisiana, about 12 miles west of Shreveport in Caddo Parish. It happened overnight at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday, April 1. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the medium intensity earthquake’s epicenter hit just three miles below the surface and about four miles outside of Blanchard, Louisiana. The relatively mild earthquake didn’t cause any damage or injuries but reportedly could be felt as far away as Boosier City and Marshal Texas.
