MONROE, La. – Louisiana Tech’s Diamond Dogs defeated No. 1 Arkansas 2-0 on Sunday. After falling in the first two matchups, the first ending in extra innings, the Bulldogs got the best of the Razorbacks behind a 10 strikeout performance from senior Jarrett Whorff. This was the Bulldogs’ first ever win against a top-ranked team. LA Tech hosts Ole Miss Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Warhawks also faired well on Sunday, holding off the No. 4 Ole Miss Rebels 8-3 despite the Rebels two home-runs. This marks the Warhawk’s first win over a team ranked in the top 5 since 2009. ULM baseball heads to Globe Life Field to face Oklahoma State on Tuesday.
