MONROE, La. – The Top 100 for the 2023 class has now been expanded to a Top247 on 247Sports, and eight prospects from the state of Louisiana made the list.

The No. 1 ranked prospect in Louisiana remained Newman quarterback Arch Manning, who checked in as the No. 5 overall prospect in the country. LSU and double-digit other programs have already offered the sophomore, who has two years of high school football in front of him.

Three other players on defense checked into the Top 100 in Westgate safety Derek Williams and Catholic High wide receiver Shelton Sampson Jr., who both made the initial Top 100 on 247Sports, as well as the addition of University High linebacker Jaiden Ausberry.

From there, two defensive backs, a linebacker and a wide receiver from Louisiana landed in the 100-247 range of the rankings.

Here’s the breakdown on the eight prospects who made the initial Top 247, as well as a handful of other names to monitor moving forward.
