MONROE, La. – Mayor Friday Ellis is scheduled to hold a press conference on Feb. 20, to recap the city’s response to the winter storms.
The conference will be held at the Public Safety Center at 3:00 p.m.
According to a press release from the city, representatives from multiple city departments will be at the conference to make statements about recovery efforts.
Officials say residents are advised that new leaks could come to light as water pipes thaw around the city. This might impact the water pressure. The city’s water department has been working around the clock to address reported leaks. If residents notice a leak or need help with an emergency shut off of their water, they can call (318) 329-2385.
