U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy begins second term after being sworn-in

MONROE, La. – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) was sworn into office on Jan. 3 for his second term.

Cassidy took the oath of office alongside Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine. The oath was administered by Vice President Mike Pence. You can watch Cassidy’s swearing-in by playing the video above.

Cassidy was first elected to office in 2014 and was reelected in 2020 to represent Louisiana for six more years.

According to his Senate website, Cassidy serves on the following Senate Committees: Energy and Natural Resources, Finance, Veterans Affairs, Joint Economic Committee, and Health Education Labor & Pensions.
